Queen Rania, YGLs, and Jordanian Students Unite to Advance Dignity Principles

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) Recognizing that every human has the right to lead a dignified life begins with a conversation. That conversation took place amongst 100 Jordanian youth in an event called Dignity Day. The students joined Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah and members of the Young Global Leaders (YGLs) in a passionate and inspiring conversation about what it means to live a dignified life and how to treat each other in accordance with the principles of dignity.

Queen Rania Launches 2nd Phase of Qudorat Program

(Jordan Times , Linda Hindi - Irbid) Her Majesty Queen Rania launched the second phase of the Qudorat programme, a successful project that has created around 425 job opportunities in various sectors.
 
The launch in Irbid, facilitated through the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), was designed to draw the attention of community-based organisations (CBOs) in Irbid Aqaba, Maan, Balqa, Jerash and Ajloun — six of the country’s 12 governorates where JRF will implement the programme.
 

Queen Rania Attends Third Meeting of the Arab Women's Organization on Women's Contributions to Human Security

(Jordan Times - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Sunday participated in the third meeting of the Arab Women Organisation’s (AWO) higher council in Abu Dhabi.
 
During the meeting, AWO President Sheikha Fatima Bint Mubarak underlined the importance of taking serious and realistic measures to activate dialogue among different civilisations by drawing up programmes to eliminate misinterpretations and misconceptions.
 

Queen Rania Attends Launch of National and Regional Reports Entitled: “Women Entrepreneurs: Characteristics, Contributions and Challenges"

(Jordan Times, Khalid Neimat - Amman) Reducing the time it takes to register a business and increasing access to capital topped list of major challenges facing women entrepreneurs in Jordan, according to two reports released today.
 
The national and regional reports, entitled: “Women Entrepreneurs: Characteristics, Contributions and Challenges,” outline main successes and challenges facing businesswomen in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA).

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) On International Volunteers Day Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah honored four recipients of the INJAZ Volunteer Achievement Award and INJAZ Corporate Achievement Award.

Queen Rania Joins Children and Mothers of Hai Nazal to Celebrate Mother's Day

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Amidst crayons, and cutouts, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah joined children and their mothers from Hai Nazal to celebrate Mother's Day. 
 
Over 200 children were gathered at the Community Center Association (CCA), preparing greeting cards and other handicrafts for their mothers, when Queen Rania joined them. The children, already excited as they were participating in the day's events at the center, welcomed the Queen enthusiastically by tossing balloons and confetti as she walked in. 
 

Queen Rania Opens IT Center at Al-Hussein Society and Visits Sweiseh Girls High School

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) As part of visits to different areas of the country to check on services provided to citizens, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah visited Sweiseh Girls High School in Wadi Al-Seer and opened the IT center at Al-Hussein Society for the Habilitation and Rehabilitation of the Physically Challenged.

Queen Rania’s stop at Al–Hussein Society came in line with efforts to provide equal education and employment opportunities to people with physical disabilities so that they can participate in society.

Queen Rania Enjoys Last Evening of Hal Hilalak Tent with Underprivileged Children

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah enjoyed the final evening of entertainment at her Hal Hilalak tent with a group of underprivileged children, Monday. The tent, which the Queen set up and launched on the second eve of Ramadan, catered to over 5,000 disenfranchised youth throughout the holy month.

Offering a variety of entertainment for the children, the tent hosted stilt walkers, clowns, magicians and mimes.

Queen Rania Visits Hai Nazal

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday presented grants to several women in the Hai Nazal area, to help them develop their own small domestic projects.

The financial contribution is in line with the Queen’s support of women who have the stamina and the will to initiate income-generating projects to improve the living conditions of their families.

Queen Rania Inaugurates Prince Hashem Park in Hashemi Shamali

(Jordan Times, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday joined a group of young people from the east Amman suburb of Hashemi Shamali in a discussion session designed to come up with ideas to present during a youth summit to be held in the US this summer.
