Queen Rania Visits Al Karak and Launches JRF's Comprehensive Development Initiative

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department-Al Karak) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a visit to the Governorate of Al Karak today, where she marked the official commencement of projects under the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) Comprehensive Development Initiative. Her Majesty met with representatives of community based organizations (CBOs) that are taking part in the initiative and also visited Al Karak Children’s Club.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah chaired today the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) board of trustees annual meeting which was held to discuss the foundation's annual strategy, future plans, and programs to be implemented across the Kingdom this year.

As JRF Chairperson, Her Majesty discussed with board members ways of strengthening the foundation's programs as to empower local communities and enable them to take the lead in the development process, thus improving the lives of their individuals.

Youth Career Initiative Graduates Meet with Queen Rania

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met with a group of Youth Career Initiative (YCI) graduates today to listen to their success stories and the benefits they received by being part of the initiative.

YCI is a program implemented by the Jordan River Foundation through partnership with the International Business Leaders Forum (IBLF) since 2007. It entails an educational program that enables international hotels to provide five to six months training for both high school graduates and dropouts from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Queen Rania Inaugurates the Jordan River Foundation Annual Exhibition "TIRAZ"

(Office of Her Majesty- Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah inaugurated, today, the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) 14th annual exhibition "TIRAZ".

Held at the JRF showroom in Jabal Amman, the exhibition aims to encourage and improve handicrafts made by women benefiting from the different JRF projects in Bani Hamida village, Wadi Al Rayan and Jabal Al Natheef.

Queen Rania Joins Arab Youth in Workshop Against Child Abuse Held by JRF

Queen Rania Briefed on JRF’s Child Safety Program Five-year Plan

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) The Jordan River Foundation (JRF), on Sunday, presented Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah with a five-year strategic plan for its activities related to child safety and prevention of abuse.

Over the past few years, Queen Rania spearheaded efforts to raise awareness on the issue of child safety, bringing it to the forefront of national policy agendas in an effort to promote a culture of prevention that addresses the Jordanian community at large.

Queen Rania Inaugurates JRF’s 13th Annual Handicrafts Exhibition

(Jordan Times, Press Department - Amman) Nahed was at first uncomfortable learning new ways of weaving.

Moving away from traditional techniques and designs she had learned and developed through working with the Bani Hamida initiative, she found it difficult at first to create modern products.

“It was strange at first, and even though it is just work, I like the way it turned out,” she said.

Queen Rania Visits Al Tafileh

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania visited Al Tafileh Governorate today to meet with local representatives of cooperative and charitable organizations. She also checked the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) all encompassing capacity building programs which cover an entire governorate.
