(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Southern Shuneh) –Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a visit to the Madrasati Winter Camp at Al Karameh Scouts Camp in Southern Shuneh today. The Queen joined the students in some of their activities and checked up on the progress of the Winter Camps in other areas across the Kingdom.

The camps, organized by Her Majesty’s Madrasati initiative, aim to occupy students during their days off school, and provide them with the space to explore their talents and practice their hobbies.

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a visit to the Rahma bint Al Hassan Elementary school for girls today, where she inspected several Jordan Education Initiative (JEI) projects. JEI aims to introduce technology in Jordanian schools through innovative educational programs that encourage both students and teachers to take full advantage of their benefits.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, on Wednesday, was joined by teachers, students and Madrasati partners, who united to demonstrate their stance against school violence.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) People never stop learning – and not even teachers are exempt from that maxim. Thanks to a series of meetings between Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, President Lee Bollinger of Columbia University, and President Susan Fuhrman of Columbia's Teachers College, as well as Her Majesty's visits to Columbia University, 12 Jordanian teachers will participate in a teachers' training program at Columbia University this summer where they will have the chance to learn some new techniques to bring back to their classrooms.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, today, launched the Queen Rania Teacher’s Academy (QRTA), which seeks to build increased capacity for supporting instructional improvement in Jordan and the region through a partnership with Columbia University’s Teacher’s College. During the inauguration, Her Majesty Queen Rania highlighted the importance of investing in high-quality professional development to foster teacher growth and offer students learning opportunities that prepare them to meet world-class standards.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) During a lunch banquet held today, Her Majesty Queen Rania honored sponsors of the Madrasati initiative, recognizing the role of the public and private sectors in ensuring the success of the second phase of the nationwide educational project.

Launched by the Queen two years ago, the initiative seeks to provide a better educational environment by renovating 500 dilapidated schools across the Kingdom in partnership with local communities, private and public sector institutions and different civil society entities.

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - In line with national efforts to empower youth and equip them with the necessary skills needed for the developing job market and to reduce unemployment, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah on Sunday inaugurated the Women Vocational Training Center in Abu Nsair and toured its facilities.

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, on Sunday, joined a group of Jordanian and international students, at the Kempinski Hotel in Amman, for the 4th annual session of the Amman Model United Nations (AMMUN) Conference to discuss the key role of youth in addressing the global challenges of terrorism and extremism.

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - In a gesture of outreach to the world's youth and in recognition of the common human values that bind us as a 'global family', a group of Arab youth, on Tuesday, presented Her Majesty with a message in a bottle to carry through to the youth of the world.
