Queen Rania Adopts Four Schools in the Kingdom

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Sweileh) The sounds of creeks and crackles of rusted steel and poor infrastructure at the Khawla Bint Tha’laba Primary School in Sweileh will soon be muffled thanks to a surprise visit by Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, where the Queen announced that she will be adopting the school, along with three others she has recently visited.

Queen Rania Launches Arab Innovative Teachers Forum

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) In her continuous efforts to promote original opportunities for the Kingdom's teachers and access to innovation in all classrooms, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah launched the Arab Innovative Teachers Forum. Over 150 teachers from Algeria, Bahrain, Egypt, Iraq, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Qatar, the UAE and Tunisia came together to exchange experiences and best practices to learn how to develop a lesson plan using multimedia.

Queen Rania Visits Kingdom's Top Teacher

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Tafileh) Nae'em Al-Bawayzeh, one of the recipients of the Queen Rania Award for Distinguished Teachers in 2006, had Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah as an avid listener during his class.

Queen Rania visited the Arafeh Primary School for boys in Tafileh, where she sat amongst the first grade pupils as they eagerly demonstrated their reading skills in front of the Queen.

Queen Rania Calls for Setting Quality Control Criteria for Health Programs

(Jordan Times - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania asked the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) to coordinate its efforts with concerned institutions, define its responsibilities and set criteria for quality control.

The Queen, who chairs the RHAS board of trustees, stressed the need to apply these standards to society’s programmes, especially school health and nutrition programmes.

Queen Rania Pays Tribute to Educators on Teachers' Day

(Jordan Times, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Saturday congratulated teachers on the occasion of Teachers’ Day and extended thanks to all of them for their efforts in educating the Kingdom’s students.

In a letter aired via Radio Jordan and other local broadcasting agencies, the Queen expressed pride in teachers, underlining the great responsibilities they are undertaking.

“You have shouldered the responsibility of educating and graduating one generation after the other, relentlessly…” the Queen said in her letter.

Queen Rania Launches Plan to Renovate Jordan’s Public School.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah launched, Tuesday, a new plan to renovate Jordan’s public schools and improve the learning environment. “Madrasati”, Queen Rania’s latest initiative, will build a partnership between community members and public and private institutions, to upgrade at least 500 of the Kingdom’s public schools.

Queen Rania Joins Jordanians in KAFA Awareness March

(Jordan Times, Press Department - Amman) Despite the rain and the chilly weather witnessed on Friday morning, thousands of Jordanians participated in a march to raise awareness on road accidents, calling on motorists and pedestrians to heed traffic rules.

Her Majesty Queen Rania participated in the march, organised by the Royal Health Awareness Society (RHAS) as part of its recently launched campaign entitled KAFA, or “enough”.

Queen Rania marches with thousands of Jordanians against terrorism

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah participated with thousands of Jordanians in a national public rally pledging allegiance to the country, denouncing all forms of terror and calling for security and stability in the region.

“The silent majority decided to speak out against terrorism in a first-of-its-kind demonstration in the Arab and Muslim World at this scale,” Queen Rania told the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
