Queen Rania Meets with Beneficiaries and Board Members of Al Aman Fund

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department-Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met today with beneficiaries and members of the Board of Directors of Al Aman Fund, which provides support to orphans through education schemes and other services. 

“You are a role model in determination, bravery, independence and overcoming obstacles” Her Majesty told the beneficiaries. “Whenever I hear from you I feel excitement and optimism.”

Queen Rania Visits Dar Al Aman

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah paid a visit to Dar Al Aman today, where she checked up on their facilities and received an update on the latest methods being used for dealing with abused children and their families. Dar Al Aman is part of Her Majesty’s Jordan River Foundation’s Child Safety intervention program.

Queen Rania Attends Discussion at Launch of the National Frame for Child Labor in Jordan

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah attended today a discussion around the launch of the National Frame for Child Labor in Jordan. The discussion, which took place at the King Hussein Club in Amman, included presentations by Mrs. Reem Abu Hassan, Secretary General of the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) on child labor in Jordan and Mr. Waleed Tarawneh, Country Director of the Cooperative Housing Foundation (CHF) on the Child Labor Program, its goals, results and future plans.

Queen Rania Attends Launch of Jordan’s Children Report

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah attended today the launch of the Jordan’s Children Report at a ceremony held at the Children Museum, Jordan. The National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) in coordination with UNICEF and other governmental bodies have drafted the 4th and 5th Country Children’s report.

Queen Rania Attends Workshop on the National Plan of Action for Children

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department-Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah attended today part of a workshop to review the “National Plan of Action for Children (NPAC) 2004–2013” evaluation outcomes ahead of the launch of a new action plan next year. The plan is part of the National Council on Family Affairs (NCFA)’s work on child welfare in Jordan.

Queen Rania Visits with Underprivileged Children and Orphans at Al Hussein Social Institution

Queen Rania Joins Mar Mansour Children’s Christmas Celebration

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department-Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah joined a group of children at the Mar Mansour Charitable Society for their Christmas celebration today. Queen Rania joined the children at the orphanage around the Christmas tree and saw a short performance prepared by the kids.

Her Majesty also met with the Society’s staff and some of its board members.

Mar Mansour Charitable Society (St. Vincent De Paul Society) was established in 1957. It provides services to children in need, including orphans, between the ages of 3-17.

 

Queen Rania Attends the Launch of UNICEF's State of the World's Children Report

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - Under the patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah, UNICEF Eminent Advocate for Children, UNICEF’s Regional Office for the Middle East and North Africa launched today the organization’s flagship publication The State of the World’s Children, focusing this year on the theme of “Adolescence: an age of opportunity”.

Queen Rania Attends Greater Amman Municipality Showcase on Children Programs

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) headquarters today to follow up on its children’s programs and inaugurate the “View Amman” project.

Visiting the exhibit area, Her Majesty was briefed by Head of the Provisional Committee of GAM, Ammar Gharaibeh, on the project, the Amman Children’s Map, the King Abdullah II House of Culture & Art and GAM’s future projects.
