Queen Rania Honors QRNEC Entrepreneurs

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Celebrating Jordan’s young entrepreneurs this year, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah honored the winners of the 5th Queen Rania National Entrepreneurship Competition (QRNEC), in a ceremony held today at Princess Sumaya University for Technology (PSUT) and attended by HRH Princess Sumaya bint El Hassan.

Her Majesty praised all the projects that participated in the competition intended to develop Jordanian youth leadership skills and foster a culture of entrepreneurship among them.

London - Jordan's Queen Rania joined international soccer stars to launch a campaign for education on Thursday, hoping to use social networking sites like Twitter and Facebook to get more children into school.

Speaking at London's Wembley Stadium, Queen Rania said she hoped to attract signatures to an online petition calling for schooling for the 75 million children who today have none.

"I have already started on my Twitter site," Queen Rania, who has more than 600 000 followers on the popular micro-blogging site, told Reuters in an interview.

Queen Rania Launches ITN, Lauds Innovative Efforts in Education

Long gone are the days of traditional ribbon cutting ceremonies—on Wednesday, with the click of a mouse, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah cut a virtual ribbon to launch the new Innovative Teachers’ Network (ITN) in Jordan. Her Majesty lauded the pioneering effort at the ITN launch in the Dead Sea which, she said, leads to people connecting all over the world.

Queen Rania Hosts First Meeting of World Links Arab Region

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah hosted the first joint annual meeting for the Advisory Council and board of directors of World Links Arab Region (WLAR) – a program which aims to improve educational outcomes, economic opportunities and mutual global understanding for youth in developing countries through the use of technology and the Internet.
