Queen Rania Honors Madrasati’s Supporters

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) During a lunch banquet held today, Her Majesty Queen Rania honored sponsors of the Madrasati initiative, recognizing the role of the public and private sectors in ensuring the success of the second phase of the nationwide educational project.

Launched by the Queen two years ago, the initiative seeks to provide a better educational environment by renovating 500 dilapidated schools across the Kingdom in partnership with local communities, private and public sector institutions and different civil society entities.

Queen Rania Joins Jordanian Football Players and Madrasati Students as They Sign up to 1GOAL

(Office of Her Majesty- Press department- Amman) Marking the Global Campaign for Education’s (GCE) Global Action Week, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah joined members of the Jordanian football team and students of her Madrasati "my school" initiative, as the signed up their names in support of the 1GOAL: Education for All initiative, launched in partnership with FIFA in the run up to the 2010 World Cup.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah thanked Madrasati sponsors for their support and involvement at a lunch she hosted for them today.

During Lunch Madrasati Director Danah Dajani, stressed the importance of the work that Madrasati does, saying that it has thus far reached 300 schools and more than one hundred and ten thousand students and community members. Ms. Dajani thanked Her Majesty for Her support the sponsors for all their efforts in helping the Initiative.

Queen Rania Attends Launch of Youth: Work Jordan Program

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Tuesday attended the launch of the Youth: Work Jordan (YWJ) program, an initiative developed in partnership with the International Youth Foundation (IYF) to support the long-term development of young Jordanian people.

Launched under the Patronage of Her Majesty Queen Rania, the program is a five-year, youth-led and community-based initiative aimed at improving livelihoods and bridging the gap with the labor market by providing life, technical and entrepreneurial skills to young Jordanians.

Students Rejoice in New Learning Environment

(Jordan Times - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania launched the initiative three months ago, which seeks to make education a social responsibility by partnering the public and private sectors for the restoration of 500 schools in desperate need of basic infrastructure and repair.

Under the initiative, final touches are being made at schools in eight governorates after an overall renovation of the buildings and various facilities.
