(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - In a gesture of outreach to the world's youth and in recognition of the common human values that bind us as a 'global family', a group of Arab youth, on Tuesday, presented Her Majesty with a message in a bottle to carry through to the youth of the world.

On-off negotiations, limp handshakes, violated agreements, starts and stops, hopes dashed. This, the landscape of the Middle East peace process in the last decade. In 2006, what our region needed was a renewed peace effort; what our region got was the devastating cat and mouse conclusion of Hezbollah’s skirmishes and Israel’s imperious invasion of Lebanon. 

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Beirut) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah, President of the second Arab Women’s Summit (2002 –2004) chaired the first meeting of the Arab Women’s Organization’s Higher Council with the participation of Arab First Ladies of countries that ratified the establishment of the AWO.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - BEIRUT) On a one-day working visit to Lebanon, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah highlighted the importance that both Jordan and Lebanon place on long-term investment in their citizens.

"Lebanon and Jordan have long believed in human capital investment. Indeed, we both share the realization that a nation's competitive edge depends on the cumulative skills of its citizens," the Queen said in a keynote speech at the Lebanese American University in Beirut.
