Lucia Pozzi: You are the Founder and Chairperson of the Jordan River Foundation. What exactly is the mandate of the Foundation and what compelled you to found it?
Queen Rania: My work with the Jordan River Foundation is especially close to my heart, because the JRF’s achievements are so apparent in human terms – women educated, children protected, communities uplifted, progress made.

Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Al Karma Center in Jabal Al Natheef in Amman today to check on the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) community empowerment programs in the center. The center includes an assembly kitchen and a handicrafts workshop. Her Majesty also met with women beneficiaries from the Bani Hamida and Al Rayyan projects.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met today with several groups of participants in the Youth Leadership Program at The Queen Rania Family and Child Center (QRFCC). The Youth Leadership Program “Towards an Empowered Generation” is one of several programs offered by the center, which is the brain child of the Jordan River Foundation (JRF), founded by Her Majesty.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department, Dead Sea) – His Majesty King Abdullah II and Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah on Thursday attended the Jordan River Foundation's "15 Years of Giving" gala dinner. In her remarks, Queen Rania, founder and chairperson of JRF, highlighted the foundation’s active role in development since it was established in 1995.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met today with groups of beneficiaries of the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) programs, representing the different initiatives that the Foundation has committed itself to throughout the last fifteen years.
As part of JRF’s 15 year anniversary celebrations, Her Majesty met with a group of 170 beneficiaries who were divided into three groups. Each group presented the Queen with their success stories and the effect that JRF programs have had on them.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited the Kufranjah district in the Governorate of Ajloun today to inspect and follow up on Jordan River Foundation (JRF) programs in the area. The visit also included a Madrasati School, a health center and an olive farm and processing plant.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Aqaba) Her Majesty visited the port city of Aqaba on Thursday, to inspect and oversee work being done by the Jordan River Foundation - JRF, and met with local and regional youth representatives and officials. Upon arrival, Her Majesty was greeted by H.E. Commissioner Mohammad Saqer, Head of ASEZA and Ms. Valentina Qassisiyeh Director of JRF.
