Queen Rania Attends NCFA Board Meeting

The meeting, which was held at the NCFA headquarters, tackled the Council’s expansion plans and planned projects for the upcoming year.

His Majesty King Abdullah II Voices His Support for the National Council of Family Affairs

AMMAN (JT) - His Majesty King Abdullah on Sunday underlined his full support for the goals and programmes implemented by the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) to ensure a better life for Jordanian families, according to a Royal Court statement.

The King stressed keenness to enhance the work of institutions concerned with family affairs and improve services provided to families.

Queen Rania Launches the Family Counseling Campaign

Organized by the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA), and funded by the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, the campaign includes a nationwide media campaign as well as training programs in the field of counseling.

Queen Rania Receives UN General Secretary’s Study on Violence Against Children

(Rana Husseini, Jordan Times – Amman) – Family protection experts called on the concerned authorities to exert more efforts to ensure greater protection for children from all forms of abuse and violence.

The call for a national action plan for family protection was made during a one-day event organised by the National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) and the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF), and attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania.

Queen Rania Chairs NCFA Board Meeting and National Plan of Action for Children is Adopted

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) The National Council for Family Affairs (NCFA) adopted the National Plan of Action for Children (NPA) which the council has been working on in coordination with the Ministries of Planning, Social Development and UNICEF.

The plan which has six main components covers a period of ten years (2004-2014) and is based on the UN’s “World Fit for Children” document and the Arab Plan of Action for Children.

Queen Rania Chairs NCFA Meeting

(Jordan Times, Jordan Times - Amman) The National Council for Family Affairs will establish family reconciliation centres, in cooperation with the Chief Justice Department next year. The announcement was made during Monday’s meeting of the council’s board of trustees chaired by Her Majesty Queen Rania. The centres will work to reconcile family-related issues, saving family members the trouble of going to court and going through proceedings in issues related to alimony, child custody and separation among others.
