Queen Rania Distributes Winter Coats to Children During Visit to Umm Ammar School

Her Majesty Queen Rania on Monday distributed 800 coats to students at the Umm Ammar Secondary Comprehensive School in Al Mahatta.

Launching this year’s “Winter Coat Campaign” on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Queen visited the school’s kindergarten and several other classrooms, according to a Royal Court statement.

(Jordan Times - Amman) His Majesty King Abdullah on Wednesday met with a delegation of Japanese parliamentarians to discuss the latest political development in the region.

King Abdullah and the visiting parliamentarians examined ways that Japan can further contribute to Middle East issues.

“Japan is ready to play a larger role in the region, not only to provide financial support but also to contribute on the political level, in backing regional stability,” a member of the Japanese House of Representatives, Kono Taro, said at a press conference following the meeting.
