(Jordan Times, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday inaugurated the Hashemite University social work centre, highlighting its role in providing the country with trained and efficient social workers.

Queen Rania Visits Salt

(Jordan Times - Salt) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Monday expressed support for the Salt Secondary School for Boys, which will be revamped under the recently launched Madrasati initiative.
 
Launched by the Queen last month, the ambitious Madrasati (my school) initiative seeks to make education a social responsibility by pairing corporations and NGOs with 500 public schools in the Kingdom in desperate need of repair.
 

Queen Rania Attends Conference Promoting Corporate-Community Partnerships That Support Progress for Women

(Linda Hindi, Jordan Times - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania said, “Engaging in responsible corporate practices allows businesses to get closer to their clients in a personal way,” which in turn “develops consumer trust and positively affects their bottom line.” 
 
She made the comments during a training session held within a two-day conference on “Leveraging Corporate-Community Partnerships to Support Women’s Progress”. 
 
The conference is the result of a year-long project which stimulated the practice of good corporate citizenship in the region.
 

Queen Rania Spends Day with People from Northern Badia, Encourages Collaborations with JRF

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Northern Badia) In the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah spent the day with the people of Northern Badia as she toured charity organizations, visited schools, and engaged the citizens of Sabha and Sobhiyeh in a frank discussion about their needs.

During her visit to the area, Queen Rania spent some time at Sabha Society for People with Special Needs, which runs small scale activities and caters to around 20 people with mental and physical disabilities.

Queen Rania Attends Annual Jordan River Foundation Ramadan Fundraiser

(Jordan Times - Amman) The Jordan River Foundation (JRF) held its annual Ramadan fundraiser event, whose proceeds will be used to support JRF’s different programmes and projects across the Kingdom.  
 
The event, attended by Her Majesty Queen Rania, who chairs the foundation, was held to empower the JRF and to strengthen relations with its various sponsors, both individual and corporate.  
 

Queen Rania Visits Jabal Al Natheef

(Jordan Times, Linda Hindi - Amman) Remarkably, a central Amman neighbourhood known for poverty, crime, drugs and hard lives also harbours qualities some affluent areas need: community residents who incorporate volunteerism, solidarity and neighbourly love into daily routines.
 
The tough locality, “Jabal Al Natheef”, according to officials, suffers from high population density, drug-related violence and unemployment rates that are 50 per cent higher than the national average, coupled with high birthrates.
 

Queen Rania Follows Up on Family Protection Progress

(Jordan Times, Linda Hindi - Amman) Jordan, which has been making progress in working to minimise violence against women, is hosting the first regional training course to strengthen the institutional capability of Arab police officers that deal with domestic violence cases.  

Her Majesty Queen Rania’s participation in the session sent a clear message that addressing the issue remains a top priority for Jordan.

Queen Rania Visits Um Nuwara, Al Qweismeh

(Jordan Times, Petra - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday visited the Queen Rania Park (QRP) to assess the leisure and educational activities on offer this summer for children, and was briefed on current income- generating projects launched at the 26-dunum facility.

The Queen’s visit comes five years after the park’s opening. The park is located in the improvised area of Um Nuwara and was designed to engage the area’s residents in recreational, educational and cultural activities, and provide opportunities for training and educating women.

Queen Rania Visits NCFA Workshops and Launches “Violence Against Women” Partnership Project

(Office of Her Majesty, Queen Rania – Press Department) As an advocate for protecting the rights of women and children, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah continued to push for institutionalizing family protection issues as she visited a training workshop held by the National Council for Family Affairs for the Ministries of Education, Social Development and Justice.

Queen Rania Recognizes Winners of INJAZ "Battle of the Best Arab Student Company Competition"

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah joined INJAZ Al-Arab in formally recognizing the award-winning students of the Battle of the Best Arab Student Company Competition. Queen Rania presented the award of "Best Company of the Year" to the winning team. Other students were recognized for their work in producing the "Best TV Commercial" and "Best CEO".
