Queen Rania Visits Hai Nazal

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday presented grants to several women in the Hai Nazal area, to help them develop their own small domestic projects.

The financial contribution is in line with the Queen’s support of women who have the stamina and the will to initiate income-generating projects to improve the living conditions of their families.

Queen Rania Attends Next Generation Conference

(Jordan Times - Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania on Tuesday highlighted youth unemployment and traffic accidents in the Kingdom, and urged for solutions to tackle these endemic problems.

“So that the unemployment rate in Jordan will not get any higher, we should create 80,000 work opportunities annually, that is, a job every seven minutes,” Queen Rania said yesterday during the Next Generation Conference (NGC), a gathering which examines solutions for common challenges facing youths in the Arab World.

Queen Rania Attends 4th International Olympic Committee World Conference on Women and Sport

(Jordan Times, Roufan Nahhas - Dead Sea) The three-day 4th International Olympic Committee (IOC) World Conference on Women and Sport held under the patronage of Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania concluded on Monday with the participation of more than 500 delegates from 150 countries at the King Hussein Ben Talal Convention Centre.

Queen Rania Narrates Story for Mother's Day and Announces New Contest

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah often speaks of how much she enjoys spending quality time with children, so it was no surprise to any of the 40 young students gathered at the Children’s Museum of Jordan to have the Queen there to narrate her own story, Wednesday, in celebration of Mother’s Day.

Queen Rania joined a mother and a grandmother from Irbid and Salt, both deemed cultural capitals in 2007 and 2008, respectively, to read to the assembled youngsters, and celebrate Mother’s Day.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Salt) In her first visit to Salt City this year, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al-Abdullah visited the King Abdullah II School for Excellence, Wednesday, to meet with the students and faculty and encourage their efforts in maintaining an environment of excellence.

Dozens of students lined the entrance and joined the Minister of Education, Khalid Touqan, and the school principal, Nimat Abu Talib in welcoming the Queen. Touqan and Abu Talib accompanied Queen Rania on a tour of the school.
