Queen Rania Meets with Newly Formed ASLG to Discuss Plans

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Amsterdam) After forming and launching the Arab Sustainability Leadership Group (ASLG), Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah convened the network’s first meeting, Wednesday, while in Amsterdam.

“We have to use this window of opportunity to do the right thing,” said the Queen. The group will encourage businesses to balance profit with environmental protection, and equal opportunity.

Orphans Mark Queen Rania's Birthday with Unique Trip

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) A group of orphaned children enjoyed a unique experience on what was their first ever plane ride on board a Royal Jordanian aircraft heading from Amman to Aqaba.

The trip, which included children, aged 6 to 13 years, from the SOS Villages in Amman, along with their supervisors, came about after Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah had met them at one of the interactive activities at Queen Rania Park, a facility of the Greater Amman Municipality (GAM), in Um Nuwara, last month.

(Royal Hashemite Court, Media & Communication Directorate - Amman) Their Majesties King Abdullah and Queen Rania on Monday met with a delegation of US congressional aides and reviewed the situation in the Middle East, efforts to push the peace process forward and bilateral cooperation.  

King Abdullah underlined the significance of a just and permanent peace settlement to the Middle East conflict, saying the region will continue to suffer from tension and instability as long as such a solution is not reached.
