Queen Rania Distributes Winter Coats to Children During Visit to Umm Ammar School

Her Majesty Queen Rania on Monday distributed 800 coats to students at the Umm Ammar Secondary Comprehensive School in Al Mahatta.

Launching this year’s “Winter Coat Campaign” on behalf of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Queen visited the school’s kindergarten and several other classrooms, according to a Royal Court statement.

Visiting the Escuela B?sica El Salitre School, which serves one of the most underprivileged communities in Santiago, Queen Rania was eager to hear about how the government has committed itself to education reform across the country.

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department – Santiago) While in Chile, Monday, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah took time to highlight the country’s progressive early childhood programs by visiting the Javiera Carrera kindergarten, an Integra Foundation supported school that caters to the underprivileged community. Her Majesty was joined by Princess Noor Hamzah, Chilean Minister of Education Monica Jimenez and the National and Regional Directors of the Integra Foundation, Loreto Amunategui and Marcela Fontecilla.
