(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met with Mrs. Elke Büdenbender, spouse of the Federal President of Germany Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier, at Al Husseiniya Palace in Amman on Wednesday. The German First Lady is currently accompanying her husband the President on a working visit to Jordan.

During their meeting, the Queen and First Lady discussed various issues of common interest. Mrs. Büdenbender serves as the Patroness of UNICEF Germany, while Queen Rania was named UNICEF’s first Eminent Advocate for Children in 2007.
