(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Washington, D.C.) - Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah visited Gallup’s Center for Muslim Studies while in Washington, DC, Monday, to review the center’s latest findings and to discuss the Muslim-West Facts Initiative, a not for profit partnership between Gallup and the Coexist Foundation whose mission is to promote understanding between Eastern and Western communities by sharing the views of the people.

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Washington, D.C.) - Her Majesty Queen Rania met with US First Lady Laura Bush at the White House to discuss areas of common interest and exchange views on developments--on the humanitarian level--related to the September 11 attacks on the United States.

Her Majesty, on a working visit to the United States, was accompanying His Majesty King Abdullah. Following her meeting at the White House, Queen Rania visited the headquarters of the American Red Cross in Washington, DC, where she met with its President and CEO, Dr. Bernadine Healy.

(Office of Her Majesty – Press Department – Amman) - Accompanying His Majesty King Abdullah II on a visit to the United States last week, Queen Rania spent much of her time promoting cultural understanding, women’s empowerment, and advocating for her charity organization, the Jordan River Foundation (JRF).

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department - Amman) In a speech at the Heritage Foundation in Washington on Thursday, US Secretary of State Colin Powell launched the program, the Middle East Partnership Initiative.

"Our partnership initiative is a continuation and a deepening of our long-standing commitment to working with all the peoples of the Middle East to improve their daily lives and to help them face the future with hope," Powell said.
