(Royal Hashemite Court – Media and Communications Directorate) - Their Majesties King Abdullah II and Queen Rania Al Abdullah, while receiving Jordanian women from across the Kingdom on Wednesday, expressed best wishes to them on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

His Majesty, while attending part of the meeting at Al Husseiniya Palace, expressed pride in Jordanian women and their efforts to contribute to Jordan’s development.

The King commended Queen Rania’s role in supporting Jordanian women, and serving Jordan with love and devotion.

His Majesty also expressed appreciation of Her Majesty’s role in supporting Jordanian women and serving Jordan with love and devotion.

For her part, Queen Rania commended Jordanian women’s achievements in service of society and Jordan.

Acknowledging that it is difficult to celebrate anything, with what is going on in Gaza and Palestine, Her Majesty said Palestinian women are showing the world the true meaning of sacrifice and resilience, with their sisters, Jordanian women, standing at their side.

Queen Rania noted His Majesty’s pride in Jordanian men and women, adding that the King sees the occasion of the Silver Jubilee as an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of Jordanians, including Jordanian women, the heart and soul of Jordan.

“When I think of this milestone, I think of the past 25 years, spent with my fellow countrywomen in Jordan’s villages, deserts, cities, and rural areas,” Her Majesty said.

“I have grown with you and through you. You have welcomed me into your homes and shared your ambitions, hard work, and dreams with me. I always feel at home and among family wherever I am in Jordan,” the Queen added, addressing the attendees.

Her Majesty expressed appreciation of His Majesty’s support for her, out of his faith in the critical role that every single Jordanian woman plays, and his faith in her capacity to enact change and achieve great things for her family and her country.
