Dear DW Duke - the idiots from Arkansas. Actually due to my belief that ANGELS often play enlightening games with our mistakes - I sorta think that link - a mistaken copy/paste - told a much better story than many other links I could have posted. Here is a kid - talking on the one hand - about "common sense" budgets - and on the other hand - making a clown of himself - and in his clowning around he does have a point - common sense says "we work ourselves out of debt" - a correct statement (my opinion) - and then thereafter he blows what could have been a pretty good message with a bunch of strange stuff........

so what is the message that the angels have delivered with my mistake (which I apologize for - and perhaps should be removed here - not quite elegant or appropriate and I am sort of ashamed for that kind of post) - that said, here is an individual from "Arkansas" - that Americans consider somewhat of a "backwoods hick" - sorta of like what folks from the Czech Republic free about their "farming counsins" in Slovakia - hicks.

Yet - in that message from a "farming/backwoods" hick - someone unsophisticated by most standards - is a root of truth: nations around the world are embarking on a currency war to devalue their respective currencies in the hope to spur imports - a dangerous game for us all. This was the result of the G-20 meeting and means that from Japan to Europe to the U.S. and many other nations - dollars will fall, as well as Yen and other currencies - as printing presses of central banks go wild.

The effect for most citizens of these nations will be higher prices - already felt as I shopped tonight and saw everything up 10% - 20% or more in a very short time.

Onward: the King's speech - which was quite a bit more inspiring and the subject of the original post

I believe this was the post I meant to copy here

Dear Queen Rania,
I am Samah Nazzal, a new PhD graduate in Optical Science & Engineering from the United States. And recently, an assistant professor for optical communications in Effat University in Jeddah.

While studying in the states, I got introduced to a very decent graduate student and we got married after 5 years of struggling to convince our families because we are from different nationalities. My great guy is not even Arab. He is from Pakistan.

I suffered a lot to marry somebody of my choice. And now I am struggling so much every time I want to come to my home country “Jordan” because I have to plan long ahead for my husband’s visit and apply for his visit visa 3 weeks ahead because of the tough and long security check from Jordan side. We had couple of emergency situations, but still he couldn’t accompany me in the proper time. No matter how hard we tried to convince the embassy that he had already entered the country few times with full security check earlier and this is an emergency case, but answers were “NO” all time, and his case has to go in full time check up for 2-3 weeks.

Recently, and after I am done with my studies, we are planning to have kids. In reality I am not trying, because I don’t want my kids to have the same problem entering Jordan like their dad, since they are not allowed to accompany me in my passport as it is known. So though I am 34 years old, but still I put my family’s future on hold.

I am herby, writing to our “Queen Rania” the global figure and one of the world’s most powerful women with hopeful heart to help me to get my rights as a highly educated open minded lady to give my husband my nationality.

All the love and respect,
Dr. Samah Nazzal

Your majesty Queen Rania,
I have never thought that it would be possible to even consider talking to such an inspirational person till I saw this website. Let me start by introducing myself, Bilal Omar. I’ve been a resident here in Jordan for 6 years. I’m 17 years old and a junior at Modern American School. An assignment was given during a Global Studies class to create a mock NGO regarding child rights, including mission statements, goals etc. etc. However, I began to think, why not make a local NGO that supports child rights in Jordan? I have created an image of what I would want to accomplish throughout this year to help out the community at large. Starting by small donations made by our community, students, parents, and citizens, I believe that I can expand this small NGO, locate local NGO’s, such as that of “Madrasati” and others in the district to help keep our children off streets, working under the age of 18, and give rights to all children. This small organization I have imagined is called “The National Child Rights Project” or (NCR). I can start by making several events to spread the awareness of child rights. Along with fund raisers, promotions and a website organization, I believe that I could contribute to your organizations. However, at such a young age I may need support and acknowledgement. Since you are one of the world’s major inspirational leaders, I would like to communicate will you. You have said over and over again that even though you are a queen, you are still a normal person, for that reason I feel most comfortable contributing my ideas to you.
Please help me make a change.

Contact me at: or 0799855245

I hope you do reply to this email. This is an issue that I am taking seriously and you can make all the difference.
Thank you.

Craig, it looks like the wrong link got posted in your comment of November 3. The link in your post is of a fellow in Arkansas telling us to vote with "common sense." But now you have piqued my interest. Is there any chance you can repost the link to King Abdullah? :)

WOW - Queen Rania - you are one lucky Queen - I just finished watching your husband, H.M. King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein, at (wish I would have seen that earlier) - a man of passion, you can see the wheels spinning in his head - very high IQ - vision - a fighter - an optimist - so many qualities I wish he was our President - you two would make a wonderful Camelot Couple - best "Head of State" pair I've seen in many many decades to be sure, no matter what nation or region you lead. Some day - if you are ever in San Francisco - please allow me to show you two the seafood here - something you might really appreciate. I have a youth counselor who doubles at night as a Limo Driver - one of the top men in the city (often shuttles Heads of State) - and he'll take care of you - well - like Royalty of course...but wow - you're husband is awesome.

The remarkable job her majesty Queen Rania is doing around the world, regarding children education, is starting to flourish. Last summer, the eyes of the world got noticed about “1GOAL”, an ambitious campaign that focus efforts supporting the education of children living in poverty in over 200 countries. This campaign was launched on August 21st, 2009 at Wembley Stadium in London, led by Queen Rania herself and footballer Gary Lineker. All this efforts, are now been materialized by being addressed to her foundation called “Madrasati” (which means "my school") . This institution was launched by Queen Rania in April 2008, and brings together public, private and non-profit partners in an initiative to renovate public schools in urgent need of repair. Led by Her Majesty, Madrasati has thoroughly modernized and enriched 500 schools across Jordan, to give children maximum opportunities.
Rania’s father, Dr. Faisal Al-Yassin, always encouraged his children to attend school and work hard. It is no wonder then that the most important thing in life to the Queen is a good education. The Queen herself has a degree in Business Administration from the American University in Cairo. So she definitely considers this as an important value.
Regarding the first question from the forum, when it comes to children’s education there is no “ in the end”, because their welfare is an investment for the future of humanity . Fortunately, people like Queen Rania see this way. She represents a truly modern queen in a world where communication and globalization go hand in hand. She has set up her own Facebook and Twitter accounts. She is admired for her blunt opinions about better treatment for children. She strongly believes that as long as they are educated, they have the opportunity to change the world for the better. So she has taken advantage of her impact on public media, to influence positively on people's interest. So she has addressed these intentions into action, such as Princess Diana used to do, and which turned around completely the traditional role of royalty around the world, when she started to make strategic bonds with both influential and concerned people about humanitarian labors. Nowadays thankfully, This mission has not been forgotten. Not by Queen Rania.
I would like to invite you all to visit Madrasati’s web page
Also you can visit her majesty’s webpage
She also has a facebook account as I said
And her twitter account!/QueenRania , where , if you write to her you maight be replyed hopefully ☺

From San Francisco - I wish you Congratulations Farah and Zaid. I used to lift heavy weights and know full well what it takes to secure a Gold medal in such an event - I am humbled by the greatness of your achievement and inspired by the pain you both endured to reach such a high objective - you are both great even if you did not place - it is still an honor to have met you here.

I LOVE this post - for it contains SO MUCH intrigue and thought provoking phrasing - DW - you really bring it out some times - thank you.

First - being a historian - the last time I checked; the de Rothschilds gave Israel to the Jews in a negotiated agreement of a little "arm twisting" with the U.K., in exchange for providing capital to assist England during WW-I, and the Balfour Doctrine was created: like most real estate it was negotiated and money was involved and as SOME Palestinians (many) will suggest, a people were displaced in the process. Now I would agree that Jews, Romans, Christians and Muslims have ALL been displaced at one time or another from various places in the Middle East...and further agree to your statement of close bloodlines between all parties.

But as for God giving any land "to any race, creed or religion", on an Earth meant for all of us to share in harmony (hopefully someday we get that part right), I apologize for any "heretic" belief I may have (should the prior paragraph be deemed as such), but as the Native Americans say "The earth does not belong to you - you belong to the earth." and I'm sticking to that.

Personally, I view the earth as a garden created by God - a place for us to learn many things - and when we learn to care for this garden properly - as well as for all life forms here - human or otherwise - then we will have honored God's wish, and learned even half (perhaps 1/millionth) of the lessons God has laid before our species and civilizations.

So to me - personally - anyone of any religion who thinks they have ANY RIGHT to any land - especially HOLY LAND - until they have learned the charity, honor, harmony, forgiveness, patience, caring, nurturing of all who may come and visit "that space within God's garden" - until the "host" learns to be most gracious to all who come, there is no "gift given by God" to any "holy people" of any religion: for to be holy in the eyes of the lord, would mean to embrace all of those characteristics of charity and love for all men (and women, children) - even the lowliest fish in the sea and the smallest sparrows in the air - for these too are guests in God's garden.

The "PEOPLE" - regardless of their religion - who embrace such ideals are the ones who I believe God would wish to settle in the holy places of his garden we call earth - wherever they wish to live.

My two cents.
