Nakhweh.com assists volunteers in finding the appropriate opportunities that meet their needs and interests, expanding the capacity of civil society, and encouraging a culture of individual empowerment and participation.
With the participation of initiatives and organizations on the website, volunteers are able to create a clear image of where and how they want to participate, therefore by simply submitting the needed they are immediately connected.

After a couple of months experiencing the online volunteer matching in Jordan and getting a feedback from our users and the community experts; today, we are pleased to announce the launch of the new version of Nakhweh.com.
With the new updates we emphasized on the social aspect of the website, gave it a better, smoother and yet easier interface, we made it more dynamic in addition to adding new features to help easing the matching process between volunteers and nonprofits/initiatives.
House of Tales and Music and Hamzet Wasel are working with a group of kids aged 13-14 in Jabal Luweibdeh to document the oral history of their neighborhood in creative ways that other young people can learn from and build on. The kids would like to make a film that incorporates their findings, and need help in producing the final product. They have some filmmaking and editing skills, but they would like some additional input.

Khadija, who you can see in the two videos posted below, is a girl of 12 from Jabal Qalaa who grew up in the US and moved to Jordan two years ago. As a result of moving back and forth, she still doesn't know how to write in Arabic and needs some help to learn. She's a very intelligent child and extremely eager to learn. She's also lovely to deal with and a lot of fun to hang out with. If you can help Khadija learn Arabic, you would be doing her, and yourself, a big favor!
We are creating 12 miles of murals in support of the International Decade for a Culture of Peace and it is in it's final year (2001-2010). The murals are original works of art created through a process that brings people together through dialogue and communication. We have done several murals with Iraqi refugees in Jordan, but would love to have some murals from Jordan to add to the collection of 5,280 murals (4,000 completed so far), representing JORDAN.
