Queen Rania Meets with Beneficiaries of Scholarships Offered by International Universities in Her Name

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department-Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met today with beneficiaries of scholarships offered by various international universities. These scholarships are offered to Jordanian youth in recognition of Queen Rania's efforts in the education field, locally and internationally.

In the meeting, Her Majesty listened to the group talk about their experiences, and the positive effect these programs had on their lives.

The youth also spoke about the great knowledge they gained from this opportunity, and how it helped them improve their skills.

To date, about 100 Jordanian students and professionals from across the Kingdom have benefitted from 25 scholarships and training opportunities offered by six different universities: Marymount University – USA, Thunderbird University – USA, Athens Information Technology (AIT) – Greece, Instituto de Empressa – Spain, Institute for Advanced Study of Pavia (IUSS) – Italy, and the American University in Cairo – Egypt.

Scholarships are offered mainly in the fields of IT, Business and Management, Human Rights and Human Development.
