Queen Rania Meets with Young Global Leaders

(Office of Her Majesty- Press Department- Dead Sea) On the sidelines of the World Economic Forum (WEF)- Dead Sea, Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah met today with members of the Young Global Leaders (YGLs) who briefed her on their participation in WEF, and the outcomes of their visits to a number of community development projects in Jordan.

As a member of the YGL’s foundation board, Her Majesty listened to the YGLs talk about their experiences throughout the "impact journey" they took two days before. Their visit included stops at Jordan River Foundation's (JRF) Karma project in Jabal Al-Natheef, and the Queen Rania Family and Child Center (QRFCC) in Jabal Al-Nasir. They also met with young Jordanian entrepreneurs at the Wamda ‘Mix-n-Mentor’ event.

Members of the YGLs also shared with Her Majesty the outcomes of their tour and their future plans to support JRF and these community based projects. The meeting with the YGLs took place at the World Economic Forum on the Middle East and Africa held at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre - Dead Sea from May 24-26.

Established in 2004, the Forum of Young Global Leaders is a unique, multi stakeholder community of exceptional young leaders, under the age of 40, who share a commitment to shaping the global future. Each year the World Economic Forum identifies 200-300 extraordinary individuals, drawn from every region of the world. Together, they form a powerful international community that can dramatically impact the global future.
