Queen Rania Visits Women’s Branch of Circassian Charity Association

(Office of Her Majesty, Press Department- Amman) – Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah made a visit to the women’s branch of the Circassian Charity Association in Amman. Her Majesty was received by H.E. Jeanette Mufti, Head of the Association and Mrs. Hind Hamoqa, Director of the Association.

During the visit, Her Majesty met with a group of the association’s members, who briefed her on the different projects that they implement and toured the building’s facilities, including the productive kitchen.

The Productive Kitchen “Samawer” was founded in 1998 and offers a combination of frozen and fresh Circassian and Jordanian traditional dishes. The kitchen employs around 40 women and generates around JD 35,000 annual profit.

The Circassian Charity Association (Women’s Branch) was established in Amman in 1972 with nine women members initially. Currently it has over than 1000 members.

The Association works on the development of women and children in areas related to education, health and employability. It also develops income generating projects, preserves and maintains the Circassian heritage and culture and provides immediate assistance and relief to needy families.
