Queen Rania Inaugurates the Jordan River Foundation Annual Exhibition "TIRAZ"

(Office of Her Majesty- Press Department- Amman) Her Majesty Queen Rania Al Abdullah inaugurated, today, the Jordan River Foundation (JRF) 14th annual exhibition "TIRAZ".

Held at the JRF showroom in Jabal Amman, the exhibition aims to encourage and improve handicrafts made by women benefiting from the different JRF projects in Bani Hamida village, Wadi Al Rayan and Jabal Al Natheef.

Queen Rania, accompanied by Former Prime Minister of Jordan, HE Zeid Rifai, HE Minister of Social Development, Hala Latouf, and a number of senior officials, checked different handicrafts and artwork inspired by the Jordanian nature and history.

Her Majesty then was briefed by JRF Acting Director Ghaleb Qudah, about the importance of these projects to women, and how they help them support their families. He also noted that this year's exhibit includes enhanced Jordanian cultural products that can better compete in the international market.

JRF Showroom Director, Reem Al Shurafa, said that the foundation has come up with new designs that cater to all tastes, while maintaining the Jordanian cultural feel.

Queen Rania was shown designs by Zeina Shamas, Maysoun Haymour, Ms. Rozi Haddadin, and Gretta Khasho.

Supported by Societe Generale Bank, the exhibition will start receiving visitors from the 6th of this month, from 8:30 am till 7 pm on weekdays, and from 10 am till 6 pm on Fridays and holidays.
